Lighting for the Han Dynasty Pottery Gallery at the China Ceramics Museum

The Han Dynasty Pottery Gallery of the China Ceramics Museum is located in the Shiwan Ancient Town Cultural and Creative Park, Chancheng District. As Phase I of the China Ceramics Museum, it is one of the most distinctive exhibition halls.

The gallery covers a total area of 3,000 square meters and displays more than 10,000 pieces of Han Dynasty ceramics. The themes cover daily life, music and dance, all kinds of crafts, birds and animals, ghosts and deities, as well as religious culture. They vividly represent the life, labor, travel, singing, dancing, feasting, and sacrificial rituals of the Han people more than 2,000 years ago, allowing visitors to experience the full spectrum of life in the Han Dynasty.

Han Dynasty pottery sculptures comprehensively reflect life in various aspects of contemporary society. They are both realistic and expressive, simple yet magnificent, ranging from small handpinched works to elaborate carvings, all vivid and lifelike. Although the facial features of the figures are not sharply defined, visitors can still feel their spirited and vivid expressions.
